Shot blasting machines

Shot blasting machines are automatic pre-treatment equipment for beam, plate, casting and pipe products, for example.

Depending on the pieces and profile, we supply different types of shot blasting machines for shot blasting

Shot machine blasting and its principle

The electric motors of the SBM machine rotate the turbines, which give the cleaning granule an impact speed of approx. 70 m / s to the surface of the workpiece to be cleaned. Shot blasting is almost ten times faster than manual grit blasting, but it is not suitable for all workpieces.

The abrasive is returned to the recirculation system, which ensures circulation in a closed cycle and efficient dust separation. Dust is sucked into the filter, so the working environment is always completely clean and meets the highest standards.

Pekotek specializes in customized turnkey solutions

Integrating shot blasting machines into existing lines is our strength. We do not only supply devices, but comprehensive solutions. In all cases, we strive to optimize blasting solutions according to customer needs and achieve an optimal end result for our end customers.

Hook type shot blasting machines

The hook type SBM are designed to handle castings, welded structures, etc. The workpieces are hung individually or in clusters on a hanger that is driven manually or by an electric transfer conveyor into the throwing chamber. In the throwing process, the hook rotates inside the chamber and the workpiece is effectively cleaned of its outer surfaces. The Y-conveyor allows one hook to be loaded and unloaded outside the ejection chamber while the other hook is in the ejection process. Hook type SBM is a good and efficient general solution for variable production.

Drive through Shot blasting machines

It usually makes sense to clean plate-like structures, beams, and pipes with a drive through type SBM. The motorized roller conveyors are equipped with a feed speed controller (inverter) and convey the pieces through the blasting chamber. The size and shapes of the workpiece determine the number of turbines. An alternative to the roller conveyor can also be a suspension track, in which case the opening of the throwing machine is vertical

Needs assessment and planning

A successful casting machine procurement process always requires familiarization with the end customer's production and process requirements. In the mapping phase, it would be a good idea to determine the maximum sizes and production volumes of the pieces to be blasted, taking into account future growth needs and space reserve requirements for the blasting machine.
